Joe's School Highlights
Half Birthday Baby Chick Field Trip Joe really likes school this year. He got to celebrate his half birthday with the traditional preschool birthday march. That's his good buddy Connor right behind him. His preschool class took a field trip to the Hugo Animal Farm. Dad got to go along. It was a cold, rainy day, but they all had fun none the less. They loved all the baby animals. Joe got to hold a baby chick, a kitten and a puppy. The bus ride was pretty cool too.
Shelby's Sacraments
First Reconciliation First Communion This spring Shelby celebrated her First Reconciliation and her First Communion. Grandma and Grandpa Klomp, Grandpa Norman, her godparents aunt Cate & uncle Bob, and aunt Sue & family all came to help her celebrate. We had a lot of fun while they were here. She looked so beautiful in her little white dress. She loved her cool Barbie cake. Thank you so much to everyone for making it such a special event for her. And thanks also for all the neat gifts.

Basketball
Annette Plays Bball MSU in the Tourney Annette and Shelby both played basketball this year. Annette had a lot of fun playing on a Little Canada Park & Rec team with some of her classmates. Shelby attended a six week basketball camp on Saturdays to learn the basics of the game. And as has become our tradition we all donned our Michigan State Tshirts to watch MSU compete in the NCAA tourney. Alas, State was eliminated far too early again this year. Maybe next year...
Spring Break
Lego Land The Park at MOA Science Museum We had a wonderful Spring Break this year. Sue and her kids came up to spend the week with us and we did all kinds of fun stuff around town. We went to the Mall of America to ride all the fun rides at The Park at MOA (previously known as Camp Snoopy). While there we made a visit to Lego Land. We spent another day at the Science Museum of Minnesota in Saint Paul where the kids had fun exploring the dinosaurs and the other fun exhibits. We loved the Omni Theater. It was a great week and we were sorry to see them go.
